Our 2017 Empowering Women series continues with an esteemed group of Women specializing in a variety of fields. Wrapping up our focus on our theme related to the book, "The 100 Year Life", each of these accomplished women is joining us to provide valuable advice about structuring our lives in our careers, finances and personally to make our 100 years the best they can be. The format of our event will be roundtable where each expert will have the opportunity to personally share her advice in a small group format. Our experts include:
Denise Rousseau, CTC - Uniglobe Travel Designers, Travel
Denise is the Director of Leisure Sales at UNIGLOBE Travel Designers and has been in the travel industry since 1996. She is responsible for growing their leisure business through net-working and marketing, managing the travel consultant staff, and offering excellent customer service to all clients. Denise has a passion for travel and helping people make their travel dreams come true. She enjoys coaching other consultants to reach their full potential and creating a team that works together to exceed company and client expectations.
Kim Coleman - Florida Capital Bank, Small Business
Jen Routte -Routte Law. In 2012, Jen began shifting her focus to preventing litigation by supporting her clients with drafting wills, trusts, contracts, deeds, leases, settlement agreements, and properly forming businesses. She believes in standing as the source for education, empowerment, and possibility by supporting her clients in creating confidence, security, and a solid foundation to grow their lives. She believes that in our complicated fast pace world, everyone should know their legal rights and have the competitive advantage of having an attorney at their call. She finds true reward in supporting people to thrive in life.
Kris Cannon-Jackson - InnerGI Consulting, Career Counseling
Kris is a business and human resources professional with a passion of training & developing others to reach their greatest potential. A philanthropist at heart, when she is not enhancing the minds of our city employees leading training classes at her "day job", she can be found lending her talents to many nonprofit organizations around the city.
Kris is the Member Relations Coordinator for the nation's largest young professionals' organization, the CYP Club, Board Chair of CYP's nonprofit organization - Columbus Inspires, sits on the Ohio HR (SHRM) Conference Committee, and on an advisory committee for 1Girl. Lastly, Kris serves as the Programming Manager for the national organization WELD - Women for Economic Leadership & Development.
Chamie Townsend - Edward Jones Investments, Personal Finances. My family encouraged me to develop a strong work ethic with an unmovable faith in doing what is right. These core values and beliefs have influenced my entire career path. What I bring to the table is a solid foundation in risk management. For the past five years, my passion has been assisting my clients with creating goals for how to organize, grow, protect, and transfer wealth. Prior to joining Edward Jones, I worked eight years on the trading floors of banks and utilities managing market risk associated with price movement and portfolio composition. In this fast-paced environment, I interacted with traders, managers and executives in finance, accounting, external and internal auditing. I hold a M.S. in Financial Engineering from Kent State University, and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as a B.S. in Applied Mathematics both from The Ohio State University.
